"Colonel" Harland David Sanders (September 9, 1890 - December 16, 1980) was an American entrepreneur. He started a company called Kentucky Fried Chicken. 

Sanders was born on September 9, 1890 in Henryville, Indiana. He studied at Southern University.

He married Josephine King and later settled down. He later married Claudia Price. Sanders had 3 children. He died on December 16, 1980 in Kentucky. He was 90 years old.
